Band Monitors (Quick Reference)

Turn on in the follow order:

1.) Turn on the soundboard following these steps -> “Turn Sound On/Off (Quick Reference)

2.) Turn on headphone amp.

3.) Turn on the computer under the desk. The power switch is facing you.

4.) Double click on the icon “PreSonus Universal Control” on the desktop. This should open a program as seen on the second photo.

5.) Turn on the ipads labeled “Band Monitor Mix” and connect using the “Umix” app. Connect to the soundboard when the option appears.

6.) Permission may need to be set after the ipads have connected. Click on “Setup” on the top. You should see a list of ipads and a dropdown menu to select various Aux channels. Select “All Aux” at the bottom.

7.) Label the channels for easy mixing. Click “Ch1” and so forth to edit them. Use the list below the picture for a reference of what channel should be labeled and use “Tab” to quickly go to the next one to label. (BIG NOTE!!: The list below will not be true for each band practice as instruments and where those instruments plug into will change. On each input cable on stage, there is a number on them. Change the channel to that instrument/person name for easy mixing).

Note - the channels are labeled on stage.
