How to Turn the Sound Board On/Off

When turning everything on:

    ⦁   Turn the soundboard on first. This is a switch in the bottom corner of the sound board, near the cords, on the streaming side of the board


    ⦁   Turn on the amps, by flipping the wall switch to 'on' and turning the main amp on the right on


    ⦁   Turn on the sound computer


    ⦁   Turn on the laptop


    ⦁   Turn on projectors and TV screens


    ⦁   Turn on the screen switch (next to the laptop)

When leaving the building:

    ⦁   Turn off the amps in the front by turning off the main amp on the right, and then flip the wall switch


    ⦁   Turn off the soundboard and the box (X-Air) to the right of the board


    ⦁   Shut down the sound computer


    ⦁   Shut down the laptop


    ⦁   Turn off all TVs and projectors


    ⦁   Turn off screen switch (next to the laptop)


    ⦁   Return lighting iPad to the booth

SOUND

Turning it all on

*Order is important

  1. Turn on the soundboard. The switch is located on the back, bottom right corner Pic. A(Or bottom left corner if looking from the back. Look to Pic. B)

  1. Turn on the amps. Walk over to the stage. While facing the stage, on the left side, ensure that the wall switch has been flipped to “ON”. Below the switch there is a floor door that opens up giving access to the amps. Flip the switch on the power conditioner, which is the top box on the right side when facing the stage. Refer to Pic. D1.

    NOTE - On the power conditioner, the switch “ON” position is the white dot on the switch pressed towards the power conditioner. Refer to _Pic. D2_.
    
    
    ANOTHER NOTE - It may take a minute or two for everything to turn on.

Turning it all off

*Order is important

  1. Reverse the order for turning it all off.

    Turn off in the following order.
    
  2. Amps (NOTE: DO NOT FLIP WALL SWITCH OFF. Just turn off the power conditioner. Disregarding this instruction may result in popping the speakers which could damage them.)
  3. Soundboard & blackbox

Playing Music through the sound system.

  1. Following the instructions for turning the sound system on.
  2. Locate ⅛ inch audio plug labeled “2 Track In” and insert into the desired music device.
  3. Set Main volume fader to unity (“U”). Fader is located on the right side of the board. See Pic A

  1. Locate the “2 Track In” knob and ensure the “Tape” button is lit. See Pic. B

  1. Adjust “2 Track In” knob to desired volume.

Using the Wireless handheld and/or Lapel microphone

  1. Following the instructions for turning the sound system on.
  2. Set Main volume fader to unity (“U”). Fader is located on the right side of the board. See Pic. A

  1. Located channel 13 & 14, and ensure the mute button is not lit. See Pic. B

  1. Place rechargeable batteries into the handheld/lapel microphone and turn on the microphone.

    1. Lapel’s on-switch is a soft touch button on top. Press and hold for one second to turn on. A green light should appear.

      1. Note - If the light is red, then the batteries need to be replaced.
      2. Note - If the light is orange then the lapel mute has been engage, press and release the on-switch once to disable the mute button, the light should be green now.
  2. Handheld’s on-switch is a soft touch button on the side. Press and hold for one second to turn on. A green light should appear.

    1. Note - If the light is red, then the batteries need to be replaced.
  3. Adjust channels 13 or 14 volume fader to desired volume.

    1. Channel 13 is the handheld microphone
    2. Channel 14 is the lapel microphone.
